Rina K. Yadav, DO

Dr. Rina K. Yadav, DO, specializes in high-risk and survivorship breast oncology at the IUSCC Women’s Clinic and Eskenazi Health. Her practice philosophy centers on empowering patients through shared decision-making, with open and honest discussions at every step of treatment. She believes care should be personalized and address the whole person—not just the disease.

Born and raised in Indiana, Dr. Yadav completed her undergraduate studies at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, before returning home to Indiana to earn her medical degree at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She went on to complete her Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at Ascension St. Vincent, where she also served as Chief Resident. She then pursued her Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, where she was honored to serve as Chief Fellow.

Dr. Yadav’s career integrates patient care with both laboratory and clinical breast cancer research. She is deeply committed to supporting patients at high risk for breast cancer and advancing understanding of genetic and biologic factors that may predispose individuals to the disease. She is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine, a Sheila D. Ward Scholar in Oncology, and Medical Director of the Komen Tissue Bank—the world’s only biorepository of normal breast tissue with matched serum, plasma and DNA.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Yadav enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new foods, staying active and traveling.
