Biography
Dr. Rohan Maniar, MD, is a medical oncologist who specializes in the treatment of thoracic malignancies, including lung cancer and thymic epithelial tumors.
He earned his PharmD from the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University in 2010 and his MD from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 2016. He then completed his residency in internal medicine at NYP – Weill Cornell Medical Center in 2019. Dr. Maniar completed his fellowship in hematology & oncology at NYP – Columbia Irving Medical Center where he served as Chief Fellow. In recognition of his research, he was selected for an ASCO/CCF Young Investigator Award in 2021 and the AACR-Doreen J. Putrah Cancer Research Foundation Scholar-in-Training Award in 2022.
Dr. Maniar joined the faculty at the Indiana University School of Medicine in August 2022 where he conducts translational and clinical research to understand mechanisms of resistance to immunotherapies and develop resistance-directed therapies. He is an associate member of the Experimental and Development Therapeutics research program and member of the solid tumor Phase I program. In his free time, he enjoys running, cooking and playing soccer with his children.
