Biography

Russell Meldrum, MD, began practicing medicine in 1997. He has always had a fascination with science and found his love for orthopedics during a volunteer experience in medical school with an orthopedic total joint lab. He believes that the best care is delivered when working with his patients as a team and making shared decisions. In addition to being a tenured professor through the IU School of Medicine, Meldrum’s achievements include being awarded the rank of Major in the Army Reserve and receiving the Service Medal for his work in a deployment to San Antonio Brooke Army Medical Center during the second gulf war. In his free time, Meldrum spends most of his time keeping up with his three daughters and grandchildren.
