Biography
Dr. Sabena Hussain is a pediatric cardiologist with expertise in caring for patients with cardiovascular conditions. She specializes in:
- General pediatric cardiology
- Cardiac transplantation
- Heart failure
Hussain chose a career in pediatric cardiology because she enjoys building strong relationships with patients and their families as they navigate the complexity of childhood heart disease. She has a special interest in patients with cardiomyopathy and the use of ventricular assist devices.
Hussain received her medical degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She completed her pediatrics residency and pediatric cardiology fellowship at Riley Hospital for Children. Additionally, Hussain has completed an advanced pediatric cardiomyopathy, heart failure and heart transplant fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medial Center. She is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology.
When she is not taking care of patients, she enjoys running, hiking, reading and spending time with her family and friends.
