Biography
Dr. Sharon M. Moe, MD, is a board-certified nephrologist. Her clinical specialties include kidney stone prevention, bone disease, kidney disease and rare genetic disorders.
Dr. Moe also serves as the director of the Division of Nephrology at the Indiana University School of Medicine, where she is a Professor of Medicine and a Professor of Anatomy and Cell Biology. She was named a Distinguished Professor at Indiana University in 2019, the highest academic honor given.
Dr. Moe is a fellow of the American Society of Nephrology, the leading professional society, where she served as a counselor and President in 2015. She has served on National Kidney Foundation panels, led International Clinical Practice Guidelines, and has published over 200 articles related to bone diseases and disorders of calcium, phosphorus, PTH in patients with Chronic Kidney Disease. In addition to nephrology, Dr. Moe maintains her board certification in internal medicine.
