Dr. Tashera Perry (she/her) is an OB/GYN with IU Health and an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor for the IU School of Medicine. She has been practicing since 2015. Dr. Perry graduated cum laude from Mary Baldwin University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She enjoyed a brief career in cardiovascular research as a post-baccalaureate fellow at the National Institutes of Health before earning her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in 2011. She completed residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2015.
Dr. Perry has earned the Girl Scout Silver and Gold Awards and was honored as the 2020 Bloomington Woman of the Year. She is an inductee to the Phi Beta Kappa and Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Societies; she is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), through which she completed a prestigious women's health advocacy fellowship; and she is a member of the American Medical Association.
Dr. Perry offers a full range of obstetric and gynecologic services; areas of interest include infertility, perinatal anxiety and depression, and transgender care for women and men. She has developed a passion for clinical informatics, and eagerly devotes time to system-wide initiatives that seek to enhance both clinician and patient experiences within the electronic health record. Dr. Perry also remains committed to health advocacy; she sits on the Board of Directors for the Monroe Owen County Medical Society and serves as a Delegate to the Indiana State Medical Association.
Dr. Perry enjoys traveling, high-intensity cardio and barre fitness, casual bike rides, bird watching, and curling up with a good (audio)book. Dr. Perry lives in Bloomington with her husband and their cat Midnight.
