IU Health Arnett Family Medicine Residency offers extended hours

September 27, 2021

Lafayette, Ind. – Indiana University Health Arnett Family Medicine Residency is now offering extended hours to provide walk-in, primary care services. This temporary practice expansion will provide additional access to same-day appointments for our patients and the community.

The IU Health Arnett Family Medicine Residency Primary Care Walk-In is open Monday through Friday from 6 pm to 10 pm at the IU Health Arnett Hospital Medical Office Building, 5177 McCarty Lane, Lafayette - Entrance 5.

A strong foundation of primary care is critical to maintaining good health. Primary care serves people throughout their lives, for everything from school-mandated health checkups to managing multiple chronic conditions, but it remains inaccessible to far too many,” said Kishan Patel, MD, Associate Chief Medical Officer for ambulatory clinic practice. “Ensuring our community has access to high-quality primary care services at convenient hours is another way for IU Health to deliver on our promise to provide the best care, designed for you.”

Walk-in services are same-day and require no appointment.

Walk-in services are designed to be convenient and treat common conditions such as:

  • Pediatric and adult cold symptoms such as cough, sore throat and earache
  • Sinus infections
  • Insect and animal bites
  • Problems or pain with urination
  • Rashes/Sunburns
  • Cuts and lacerations
  • Splinter or foreign body removal
  • Sprains and strains
  • Ear and eye injuries
  • Minor burns
  • Headaches
  • Allergies

Patients experiencing a life-threatening medical condition should go to a nearby emergency room or call 911.
