Lafayette, Ind. – The West Central Region of Indiana University Health—which includes IU Health Arnett, Frankfort and White Memorial hospitals—has welcomed physician and Purdue University First Lady Yingkei Hui to its Board of Directors.
“As a member of the board, I look forward to making relevant connections among IU Health, Purdue University and Greater Lafayette. I want to contribute my professional knowledge in practicing medicine as well as in public health policy to provide a constructive voice for our community,” says Hui on what she hopes to accomplish as a board member.
“My contributions will align with my role as First Lady of Purdue, where my key initiatives include healthcare, childcare and community engagement.”
Hui, who is busy raising a family and investing in her priority initiatives at the university—on top of her own career as a physician—says she chose to accept this particular opportunity because of the reputation of IU Health and the way the organization serves the local community.
“I am truly honored to be asked to serve on this board, and I look forward to contributing in a variety of ways,” she says.
Hui will serve an initial three-year term.
