Accreditations

The IU Health Pathology Laboratory adheres to the highest level of standards in quality and service in laboratory testing and anatomic pathology.

We help to ensure this by participation in a number of accrediting agencies, our quality assurance and proficiency testing programs and our corporate compliance policies.

As part of the accreditation process and to ensure proficiency in performing laboratory analyses, Proficiency Testing (PT) is required. Our department primarily utilizes the CAP PT Program and the American Association of Bioanalysts (AAB). For analytes not covered under a PT Program, validation studies and twice yearly in-house PT are performed.
