The IU Health Administrative Fellowship is an integrated program that offers learning experiences in various areas of our healthcare enterprise over a 24-month span. Fellows engage in stimulating projects throughout their first year across the system and different business areas.

Leadership & Mentoring

IU Health Administrative Fellows have a unique opportunity to meet and engage with executive leaders at the system and regional level. Fellows participate in senior leadership meetings to gain a high-level understanding of IU Health, insight to executive decision making, and to observe various leadership styles. With guidance from the fellowship program director, each fellow is assigned an executive mentor who is available to provide extensive professional guidance throughout the program. In addition, through structured engagements and projects, fellows develop a diverse board of mentors who provide feedback on working projects and further professional development.

Jay Kenworthy, Executive Communications Advisor, serves as the director for the program. Rev. Leah Gunning-Francis Ph.D, Senior Vice President and Chief Mission and Values Officer, serves as the executive sponsor for the program.

Current Fellows

Ethan Jagnandan - 1st Year

Ethan Jagnandan (2026-2028) is originally from Cumming, Georgia. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Management with an emphasis in Supply Chain from Utah State University and completed the didactic portion of his Master of Science in Health Administration at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).

In his undergraduate career, Ethan worked as a Compliance Assistant with the Sorensen Center, where he supported regulatory adherence, coordinated access to sensitive health information systems, and contributed to audit and training initiatives. He also served as a Patient Registrar at Logan Regional Hospital, where he trained staff, improved registration workflows, and supported operations across multiple clinical departments. Additionally, he completed a summer internship as a member of Stryker’s Sourcing Team.

While at UAB, Ethan gained diverse experience across healthcare operations, supply chain, and compliance. Most recently, he served as a Field Integration Intern with The Resource Group, an Ascension Health company, where he developed tools to enhance financial visibility, supported product implementation strategies across multiple markets, and collaborated on business development initiatives to drive operational efficiency. In his role as a Student Associate at UAB Health System, Ethan worked within supply chain and resource utilization to streamline contracting processes, strengthen data integrity, and support the implementation of technology solutions to improve sourcing and compliance.

Throughout his academic journey, Ethan also served as a Subcommittee Leader for the UAB MSHA Accessibility, Belonging, and Engagement Committee, in addition to working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. He is also incredibly grateful for his time spent as a Special Olympics Program Leader and Coach.

His professional interests include healthcare operations, supply chain management, pediatrics, and the advancement of efficient, patient-centered care delivery.
Outside of work, Ethan enjoys traveling with his wife, going to the movies, golfing, and spending time with friends and family.

Tori Olmstead - 1st Year

Victoria (Tori) Olmstead (2026–2028) is a proud Indiana native from Brownsburg and a graduate of Purdue University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health (Health Policy and Management) and Master of Health Administration.

During high school and throughout her undergraduate career at Purdue, Tori worked in a private dental practice, gaining experience in both clinical and administrative operations. In this role, she supported sterilization processes, maintained patient and insurance records, and ensured compliance with regulatory standards. She later interned with Medxcel, a healthcare facilities management organization, where she supported operational excellence initiatives, including the development of a digital onboarding platform and an AI-enabled tool to improve access to facility protocols. During her time at Purdue, she also served as Vice President of Zeta Tau Alpha and on its Breast Cancer Awareness and Education Board of Directors and was involved in Purdue University Dance Marathon (PUDM) and College Mentors for Kids.

While pursuing her MHA, Tori worked full-time with Medxcel as an Operations Analyst. In this role, she led initiatives focused on air quality and surgical smoke evacuation to improve safety in critical care spaces and partnered with clinical and facilities teams to address operational challenges. During this time, she also served as a Student Ambassador for Purdue’s Master of Health Administration program. She additionally worked as a Clinic Data Coordinator at the Indiana University School of Dentistry, where she supported accreditation reporting, managed student clinical competency data, and contributed to quality improvement efforts through adverse event analysis and data validation.

Tori holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification and is a member of Executive Women in Healthcare.

Tori’s professional interests include healthcare operations, quality improvement, provider and staff experience, and community health.

Outside of work, she enjoys golfing, painting, traveling, and spending time with her dogs, family, and friends.

Lauren Fleetwood - 2nd Year

Lauren Fleetwood (2025–2027) is a proud native of Seymour, Indiana, where she first developed her passion for community-centered healthcare and collaborative leadership. She earned her Master of Health Administration from The Ohio State University and her Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management and Policy from Indiana University Bloomington. During her undergraduate career, Lauren worked at IU Health Bedford, where she contributed to projects including the redesign of orientation and onboarding processes and improvements to the patient experience survey. These experiences deepened her interest in patient-centered care and strengthened her skills in stakeholder engagement. She also served for two years as Vice President of Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority, cultivating leadership, communication, and community-building skills.

In graduate school, Lauren served as Programming Chair for the Association of Future Healthcare Executives, helping coordinate professional development opportunities and student engagement events. She also completed a summer residency at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital, where she worked on a range of operational and facilities-related projects, such as decommissioning the centrally piped nitrous oxide system and redesigning the reporting structure for non-threshold capital assets. Additionally, she served as a Graduate Intern at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, where she supported initiatives within the Institute of Genomic Medicine by streamlining workflows and facilitating cross-functional collaboration aimed at enhancing pediatric patient care.

Lauren’s professional interests include rural healthcare, strategy, patient and family-centered care, and healthcare operations.

Outside of work, Lauren enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.

Jill Tore - 2nd Year

Jill Tore (2025-2027) was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and earned her Bachelor of International Studies, Global Health, and the Environment with minors in Psychology and Medicine & Society from the University of Dayton (UD) in Dayton, Ohio. She completed the didactic portion of her Master of Health Services Administration from Xavier University (XU) in Cincinnati, Ohio.

During her time as an undergraduate at UD, she worked as an EMT for three years with the student-run UD EMS organization. While working as an EMT, she served as the Assistant Chief of Personnel, overseeing four officers, maintaining all administrative records, creating the schedule for the sixty-member squad, updating policy, coordinating recruitment efforts, and supporting the Chief of UD EMS. Additionally, she interned with Catholic Social Services on the Refugee Resettlement Team, was a manager at the local Ben & Jerry’s ice cream shop, and volunteered with Crisis Text Line, Hospice of Dayton, and UD’s COVID Response Team. Upon graduating, she was awarded the Dr. Margaret P. Karns Award for Academic Excellence and Services in Global and Local Issues.

While obtaining her MHSA, Jill interned with OrthoCincy Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine’s HR Department. Inside the classroom, she was elected the Health Administration Student Professional Society Co-Chair and was an active member of the Cincinnati ACHE Chapter. In these roles, she planned and organized professional opportunities for her classmates and had the opportunity to learn more about community-wide efforts to improve healthcare delivery within Cincinnati and northern Kentucky.

Throughout her education, Jill has also enjoyed participating in case and philanthropy competitions. She was awarded Best Presenter at OSU’s 13th Annual Case Competition and 1st Place at XU’s 16th Annual Philanthropy Competition.

Jill’s professional interests include quality improvement, patient & team experience, operations, governmental affairs, and community health.

Outside of work, Jill enjoys visiting home, spending time with friends, reading, baking, working out, and watching new shows and sports.
