Christina Noble has been a runner most of her life, competing in both high school and college. So in 2024, when she learned she would need hip surgery to repair a torn labrum, she experienced a range of emotions—from sadness to depression. But as her rehab progressed, those feelings shifted toward the possibility of a comeback. “It’s kind of been a secret goal, really since I had surgery, of like… what if, a little over a year from now, I could do a half‑marathon again.”
