Celebrating iHEART Collaborative: 3 years improving heart health

Attend the virtual event "Tackling Heart Disease: A Multi-Faceted Approach in Indianapolis" from 9-11 am on Thursday, March 5 to learn what worked in the program, celebrate and recognize progress made and help shape the future of heart health.

Hypertension affects nearly half of U.S. adults and contributes to poor cardiovascular health nationwide. Indiana ranks among the lowest in the nation for cardiovascular health, making this issue especially urgent for the state. Over the past three years, the Indianapolis Health Excellence Access, outReach & Treatment (iHEART) Collaborative has implemented evidence-based strategies in three Indianapolis communities to improve heart health outcomes.

IU Health team members and the community alike are invited to learn what worked in the program, celebrate and recognize progress made and help shape the future of heart health by attending the virtual event, Tackling Heart Disease: A Multi-Faceted Approach in Indianapolis from 9 – 11 am, on Thursday, March 5.

Attendees will:

  • Understand the purpose and strategy behind iHEART
  • Explore program outcomes and community impact
  • Learn lessons from implementation and discover what’s next
