Indiana's first mobile lung screening program rolls into town

Watch as IU Health and community partners cut the ribbon on Indiana's first mobile lung screening program! Thanks to the Tom and Julie Wood Family Foundation, a large truck has been retrofitted with a CT scanner and other components needed to conduct lung screenings. The mobile team will drive the truck to various locations throughout the state offering this important test to hoosiers who might otherwise be unable to get a scan. "Access is the issue. In many rural communities in Indiana they have to go a great distance to get a lot of their care," said Nasser Hanna, the screening program's director. "This mobile unit reduces a major barrier for those people."
