IU Health financial counselor helps uninsured & underinsured patients

Meet Jovon Harvey, who began his career in patient financial counseling at just 19 years old. Today, he leads IU Health’s statewide team of Financial Counselors — professionals dedicated to helping uninsured and underinsured Hoosiers find coverage and financial support. His motivation is deeply personal: his family’s own health journey inspired his mission to remove barriers to care for others. “The best moments,” Jovon says, “are when we can tell a patient they qualify for help.”
