IU Health patient delivers ceremonial green flag to Indy 500 start line

As the party winds down in Indy after an incredible 110th running of the Indianapolis 500, it’s safe to say IU Health patient Sarah Shore‑Beck will carry memories to last a lifetime. Earlier this month, we introduced you to Sarah as she reunited with the IU Health LifeLine team and others who helped save her life after a near-fatal crash in 2025.

Today, she honored that journey with a moment she’ll never forget — delivering the ceremonial green flag to the start line for a hand‑off with honorary starter Brendan Fraser.

“I’m honoring everyone who helped save me, 1,000 percent. I’m representing that more than anything.”
