IU Health Primary Care – McCordsville now open

The outpatient physician office development brings primary care and specialty services, including cardiovascular and OB/GYN care, together under one roof.

Team members with Indiana University Health cut the ribbon on a new location in McCordsville—an outpatient physician office development that will offer primary care, cardiovascular and OB/GYN services.

Complete with 25 exam rooms and three procedure rooms, IU Health Primary Care - McCordsville will welcome physicians and advanced practice providers specializing in primary care and a cardiologist on a weekly basis to start. OB/GYN providers will join the team this fall.

Dr. Jatin Rana, MD, a family medicine doctor, is one of the first providers at the new location.

“I’m so proud to be part of the Primary Care launch team here in McCordsville,” Dr. Rana said. “As a family medicine provider, it’s my privilege to care for entire families, where patients range from pediatric to geriatric. I’m thrilled to officially cut the ribbon on this office, and to bring timely access to highly skilled primary care, closer to home and consistent with the needs of this community.”

The opening of this outpatient office development is part of IU Health’s Fishers Community Impact Project, a $300 million investment which includes a significant expansion of the IU Health Saxony Hospital campus and services, and the addition of offsite, outpatient access to primary care and specialists to more holistically meet the needs of what has become one of the fastest growing areas in the state—Fishers and the northeast suburbs of Indianapolis.

“As we looked at community growth rates, new commercial and housing developments and patient origin, we knew that McCordsville would be the next best place for us to plant IU Health care close to home,” said Soula Banich, regional vice president and chief operating officer of IU Health’s Indianapolis Suburban Region. “What we’re opening here, an extension of IU Health primary and specialty care, will be supported by the expanded scope of services provided at IU Health Saxony – soon to be IU Health Fishers, by the end of 2025.”

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Wednesday, Sept. 4, to celebrate the grand opening. It was followed by an open house-style meet and greet. IU Health team members and the community were able to see the new space and meet the providers.
