IU Health proud to support Minds in Motion bus focused on mental health

IU Health is proud to support Mental Health America Wabash Valley Region as they roll down the street in their new Minds in Motion Bus. Supported through a $250,000 IU Health Community Impact Investment Grant funded from 2025–2027, this new mental health mobile unit is bringing mental and emotional wellness tools and programming directly to children and families across White, Tippecanoe, and Clinton counties.

"Young people are struggling with depression, anxiety, and often times they report they don't even understand their emotions," said Brandi Christiansen, president and CEO of Mental Health America Wabash Valley Region. "Then there's access to care. Many young people don't know how to access it... we have to show them how. That's why we're here."

This investment reflects IU Health’s commitment to strengthening community organizations that are addressing Indiana’s most pressing health needs by extending care far beyond the walls of the hospital.
