Neurologist brings next-level neurology care to INDYCAR medical team

This year INDYCAR's medical team is extending a warm welcome to Dr. Bert Vargas, a sports neurologist who will bring next-level neurology care to INDYCAR drivers and teams. Dr Vargas' resume is extensive, from his time as a flight surgeon in the Air Force to serving as a member of the NFL Head, Neck and Spine Committee. He will travel to every INDYCAR race this season providing, among other services, post-incident evaluations and comprehensive care plans for drivers. "I'm enjoying getting to know the drivers and letting them know that I am here for them to help them function at their optimal performance and to help them through injuries of any type."
