Nurse, 52, graduates nursing school, fulfills promise to her deceased mother

Tonya Mitchell is a registered nurse and shift coordinator in IU Health West’s Ambulatory Procedure and Post-Anesthesia Care units. Before her mother passed away, Mitchell promised that she would go back to school and get her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree. With the support of her work team, she was able to fulfill that promise.
