Pulmonary function lab is full of cheerleaders

IU Health's pulmonary function lab plays a key role in helping doctors diagnose patients with lung problems. The testing can be physically challenging, but patients should know there's an expert team of respiratory therapists ready to help. "The maneuvers are hard. It sounds like a lot of them would be easy, but to do it correctly takes a lot of effort," said Holly Hass, a pulmonary function department supervisor. "We are the cheerleaders helping patients to give that good effort. Getting a good test is helping them get the diagnosis they need."
