Resilience, determination define brain surgery patient's long road to recovery

Kathy Butterbaugh had surgery in 2021 to remove a benign brain tumor known as an acoustic neuroma. The surgery was successful, but still left her with partial facial paralysis along with speech and balance deficits. For the past several years Kathy has been to hundreds of speech and physical therapy appointments working to regain as much as possible. "I feel so blessed to have gotten into this group of people who know each other and know how to help you get as far as you can get."
