Telemetry team monitors hundreds of patient heart beats remotely

The telemetry team at Methodist Hospital monitors heart rhythms for med surg patients at four different IU Health Hospitals. "We can see if a patient's heart rate is elevated or lowered and we can call the nurse and alert them to that," said telemetry tech, Patrick Wade. "We do have days where our calls save patients who start to code. That feels really good."
