Biography
Dr. Christine B. Caltoum is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon specializing in:
- Pediatric sports injuries
- Limb deformity and leg-length discrepancy
- Complex hip disorders
- Pediatric orthopedic trauma
- General pediatric orthopedic conditions
After earning her medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine, Dr. Caltoum attended Mayo Graduate School of Medicine for her internship and residency. She then completed her fellowship at Children's Hospital and Health Center. Dr. Caltoum has been in practice with Riley Children’s Health since 2007 and has been the Division Chief of Pediatric Orthopedics at Riley Children’s since 2019.
During college, Dr. Caltoum played NCAA Division I tennis. Through her experience with multiple injuries, she determined that medicine was the right field for her to pursue. What she loves most about working for Riley Children’s is the opportunity to take care of kids every day.
When visiting Dr. Caltoum for the first time, you can expect her to learn more about your child and family, and what concern is bringing you to the office. After a thorough physical exam and appropriate diagnostics, Dr. Caltoum will work with the patient and family to put a treatment plan in place.
Outside of treating patients, Dr. Caltoum enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and two daughters.
