Our infusion center is located on site. Oncology-trained nurses administer medications, chemotherapy, fluids, and specialized treatments. Our infusion center team provides excellent care for you while meeting all the needs and safety requirements of those with cancer.
Cancer Support Services
At IU Health, we provide supportive services to help you with the stress of a cancer diagnosis. Through our partnership with Cancer Support Community of Southern Indiana and Lawrence County Cancer Patient Services they help to provide free programs for our patients including:
- Support groups
- Wigs and wig fitting
- Yoga
- Art therapy
- Wellness classes
- Individual counseling
- Medical equipment
- Nutrition supplements
- Patient support
Oncology Nurse Navigator
We have an oncology certified, registered nurse that provides one-on-one support. They will educate and support you and your family with care from the time of diagnosis all the way through to survivorship.
The services are free thanks to generous support from our community. A nurse navigator will be available to meet with you either in person or by phone. The nurse navigator can answer questions, coordinate care, and offer individualized financial assistance for transportation and/or food during treatment.
Side Effect Management
Our team provides support and resources for the side effects of cancer. This may include fatigue, pain, anemia, nausea, skin and hair concerns, and more.
