During your first appointment, we’ll talk about your challenges and discuss a therapy plan that works for you. This may include a combination of therapies, and a number of appointments. This allows us to ensure you are building up your stamina and learning to move safely to prevent future injury.
Subsequent visits include one-on-one training and therapy. We’ll evaluate you along the way and monitor your progress
Insurance
Verifying your insurance benefits and eligibility is recommended before coming to your first visit with IU Health. Although we accept most insurance plans, it is best to verify before your visit just in case.
Preparing for your first visit
Your first visit can be nerve-racking. Because of that, we have prepared some helpful tips to read over before your appointment.
- Bring any post-operative instructions if you’ve recently had surgery.
- Bring insurance card(s) and identification.
- Bring a list of current medications, including over-the-counter medicines.
- Wear comfortable, loose, clothing that you can move around in and allows access to injury or surgical site, if applicable.
- Arrive 30 minutes early to complete any outstanding paperwork.
In case your provider is not an IU Health provider, also please:
- Have your provider send medical records to us before your scheduled visit or bring the information with you during your visit. These may be sent via fax or through the mail.
- If you’ve had any imaging procedures such as X-ray, CT or MRI, be sure to bring reports or films with you. You may also have them sent to us by your provider.
