When you face a medical emergency, IU Health provides experienced and effective treatment, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with short wait times.

At IU Health Tipton Hospital, our emergency physicians are specially trained to respond to emergencies. Our nurses are also skilled in emergency nursing care and are trained in advanced cardiac life support.

We offer a 24-hour on-site lab, which includes computed tomography (CT) scans and X-ray services. After you go home, our nurses and physicians are available to answer questions about your emergency care and discharge instructions.

If necessary, patients can be transferred to one of our two Level I Trauma Centers equipped to treat the most severe and life-threatening conditions:

Riley at IU Health is the only pediatric Level I Trauma Center in Indiana. It features teams that specialize in emergency medical care of infants, children and adolescents.

Through our partnership with the Indiana University School of Medicine, we participate in research and clinical trials. This helps us improve outcomes for our most critically ill and injured patients.
