Biography
Dr. Angela M. Richardson, MD, PhD, joined IU Health and the Department of Neurological Surgery’s team of multidisciplinary neurooncology specialists in August 2021. Her independent research laboratory focuses on gene therapy and oncolytic virotherapy strategies for the treatment of adult and pediatric brain tumors.
Her clinical interests include surgical neurooncology, neurovascular disease and radiosurgery.
Before joining IU Health, Dr. Richardson completed a Cerebrovascular/Skull Base Fellowship at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, which followed her neurosurgery residency training and Surgical Neuro-Oncology fellowship at the University of Miami. Dr. Richardson earned her MD/PhD in Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia and her undergraduate degree from Columbia University.
