Biography
Dr. Brandon R. Hood, MD is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult hip replacement and knee replacement. He earned his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine and completed a residency with the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Michigan Hospital System in Ann Arbor, where he was chief resident. He then completed a fellowship in adult reconstruction at the OrthoCarolina Hip and Knee Center in Charlotte, NC. He joined IU Health in 2019.
Hood is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Association Emerging Leaders Program.
Before pursuing his medical degree, Hood earned a Bachelor of Arts in kinesiology and sports medicine from DePauw University, where he was a four-year varsity letter winner in Track and Field and served as team captain. He later earned a Master of Science in biology from Purdue University.
