Biography
David Edwards, PT, DPT, is a physical therapist with the IU Health Neuroscience Center. He completed his undergraduate studies at Indiana University in the field of exercise science, then attended physical therapy school at Indiana University, where he obtained his Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
He has over 10 years of experience at the IU Health Neuroscience Center and is experienced with the evaluation and treatment of:
- Traumatic brain injuries
- Vestibular diagnoses and BPPV
- Pre and post-amputation and prosthetic training
- Parkinson’s Disease
- Post-stroke therapy
- Spinal cord injuries
- Multiple sclerosis
- Cerebral palsy
- Neurosurgical patients
- Various other neuromuscular diseases
David uses a variety of treatment approaches to maximize independence, improve physical function and quality of life, and to reduce symptoms of dizziness and mobility deficits. He loves to be involved in creating activity/exercise regimes designed to increase motion, dexterity and strength with the ultimate goal of improving function and quality of life.

David's favorite thing about healthcare is working with patients as they challenge themselves to achieve their goals. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking and backpacking, board games and spending time with friends and family.
