Biography

Dr. David W. Roe, MD received his MD degree from Southern Illinois University and completed his residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at Michigan State University. He completed a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at IU School of Medicine and IU Health Methodist Hospital.

Dr. Roe says, "My mission in being your physician is to deliver excellence in healthcare to you supported by a world-class healthcare organization in an empathetic and compassionate manner every time to achieve our goals of healing you both physically and emotionally."

He is a former medical director of the IU Health Lung Transplant and EMCO Programs at IU Health Methodist Hospital. He also was the medical director of cardiovascular critical care unit at Methodist and the Advanced Heart Lung Care center for IU Health Physicians at Methodist. Dr. Roe currently serves on the IU Health system critical care council and the IU Health North critical care council. He has served on numerous local and national committees and is currently serving on the American Thoracic Society/American College of Chest Physicians’ Clinical Practice Committee.

Dr. David Roe’s area of clinical practice is pulmonary/critical care medicine at IU Health North Hospital. He is an associate clinical professor of medicine in the IU School of Medicine’s Division of Pulmonary Medicine.
