Biography
Huda S. Salman, MD, PhD, is executive director of the Brown Center for Immunotherapy at the IU Melvin and Bren Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center. The Brown Center translates immunotherapy research conducted at Indiana University into clinical trials to treat patients at IU Health with cancers that are unresponsive to standard treatments.
Dr. Salman holds the title of Don Brown Chair in Immunotherapy and professor of medicine in the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology at the IU School of Medicine.
Dr. Salman is a leukemia survivor herself. Her clinical expertise is focused on blood cancers, bone marrow transplantation and cellular therapy, particularly acute and aggressive lymphomas. Her work in developing new CAR-T cell therapies for patients with blood and bone marrow cancers is highly recognized across the medical community.

Dr. Salman earned her medical degree at the University of Jordan, where she subsequently earned a masters and PhD. She completed her residency at Cornel Medical College in New York. She completed her fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York. Dr. Salman completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Albert Einstein Medical College in the Bronx in New York.
