Dr. Jacob J. Triplet, DO is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and elbow surgery. He is actively involved in outpatient consultations, surgical procedures, research and teaching.

Dr. Triplet was born in Buffalo, N.Y. He earned his doctoral degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. After graduating first in his medical school class, he completed his Orthopedic Surgical Residency at Ohio University in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Triplet then completed a Fellowship in Upper Extremity Reconstruction (Shoulder and Elbow Surgery) at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. He now works as an Upper Extremity Specialist in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at IU Health.

Dr. Triplet has over 50 peer-reviewed publications with his research in prominent journals such as the Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (JAAOS) and the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery (JSES). His research has been presented at several national orthopedic conferences including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) annual meetings.

Dr. Triplet’s greatest joy is in spending time with his wife and children. He enjoys nature and traveling to new areas with his family. He favors outdoor activities including camping, hiking and skiing with family and close friends.
