Dr. Katelyn Makar has an expertise in caring for patients with cleft and craniofacial conditions. She performs cleft lip and cleft palate repairs, as well as lip and nasal revisions for cleft lip patients as they grow and develop. She also partners with pediatric neurosurgery to evaluate and treat infants with craniosynostosis. Given her broad plastic surgery training, she is also qualified to care for patients with breast anomalies, such as macromastia, tuberous breast deformity, and Poland syndrome. Regarding skin conditions, she treats vascular anomalies, nevi, and cysts, especially in the head and neck region. She is also trained in cosmetic ear procedures for prominent ear (otoplasty), as well as ear reconstruction for patients with microtia.

Dr. Katelyn Makar earned her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in 2013 and completed her plastic surgery training at the University of Michigan in 2021.
