Biography
Dr. Kyla D. Joubert, MD, MPH, is a thoracic surgeon specializing in minimally invasive robotic thoracic surgery. Her expertise includes procedures for lung cancer, pleural conditions, mediastinal masses, esophageal cancer, benign esophageal disorders, paraesophageal and hiatal hernias, diaphragm disorders, chest wall conditions and thoracic outlet syndrome. Dr. Joubert earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center and completed an Integrated Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Joubert serves as an Assistant Professor of Thoracic Surgery and is the Thoracic Surgical Representative for Lung Cancer Screening. She has contributed to several publications advancing the field of thoracic surgery. She is board certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and is an active member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and Women in Thoracic Surgery.
