Dr. Kyle W. Yancey, MD, is a highly skilled surgeon specializing in heart & vascular care, specifically in cardiothoracic surgery, at IU Health Arnett. He embarked on his medical journey in 2013 after obtaining his MD from Indiana University School of Medicine.
He further honed his surgical skills and deepened his understanding of cardiovascular diseases through residencies in general surgery at IU Health Methodist Hospital and IU Health University Hospital. His thirst for knowledge and commitment to his specialty led him to pursue a fellowship in cardiovascular/thoracic surgery at the same institutions. These rigorous training programs equipped him with the advanced skills and knowledge necessary to perform complex cardiovascular and thoracic procedures.
Yancey's approach to patient care is founded on a multidisciplinary perspective. He believes in educating his patients about their heart disease treatment options, collaborating with the care team to devise an individualized care plan for each patient. His areas of expertise include Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), cardiothoracic surgery, and cardiovascular surgery.
Outside his professional life, Yancey enjoys sports and spending quality time with his wife and children.
