Biography
Dr. Luke P. Fife, MD is a board certified general surgeon with a broad base of expertise ranging from simple skin procedures to complex abdominal operations. He provides emergency general surgery and trauma care. He also provides minimally invasive and robotic approaches to common abdominal operations. His most common operations are:
- Hernia repair
- Gallbladder removal
- Appendix removal
He does surgical treatment for cancer patients including skin, breast and colon cancers as well as ports for chemotherapy access.
Fife received his medical degree from the University of Louisville and his General Surgery residency at the University of South Alabama. He was board certified with the American College of Surgeons in 2016.
He enjoys teaching medical students at IU Health. Additionally, he volunteers with PAACS, a non-profit medical organization that trains African physicians as surgeons to care for the poor and the sick.
