Biography
Lydia George, PT, DPT, AIB-VRC, is a physical therapist with IU Health Neurorehabilitation and Robotics. She specializes in neurorehabilitation and offers a range of services, including gait analysis and training, fall prevention, balance training, vestibular rehabilitation, Parkinson’s treatment (including LSVT BIG), concussion recovery and orthotic and prosthetic training. She has extensive experience treating a variety of conditions, including:
- Stroke
- Traumatic brain injury
- Spinal cord injury
- Parkinson’s disease
- Multiple sclerosis
- Vestibular disorders
- Frequent falls/balance problems
- Concussion
- Coordination disorders
- Other movement disorders
Lydia earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Indiana University in 2013 and holds an undergraduate degree in biology from Purdue University. Her passion for neurorehabilitation drives her to provide personalized care that improves functional outcomes and quality of life for patients with neurological conditions through targeted, evidence-based interventions.
In addition to her clinical practice, Lydia is an adjunct faculty member in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Indiana University Indianapolis. She also serves as an Adjunct Faculty Advisor for the Indiana University Student Outreach Clinic PT, where she mentors students who provide free healthcare to underserved populations on the near-east side of Indianapolis.
