Biography

Matthew Orton, MD joined a prostate brachytherapy study in medical school when his father was diagnosed with prostate cancer. During that time, Dr. Orton discovered how rewarding it is to work with cancer patients and help improve their quality of life.

He strives to develop personal relationships with his patients while presenting treatment options, guiding them through different processes and working with families to create a support system.

Dr. Orton is the 2012 recipient of the annual National Roentgen Ray Society resident research award. He is married with four children. He enjoys scuba diving, running and coaching his children’s t-ball and soccer teams.
