Biography
Since 2012, Dr. Walter Virkus has served as the director of orthopedic trauma for IU Health Physicians. Prior to joining IU Health Physicians, Dr. Virkus worked in Chicago as a member of the orthopedic department at Rush University Medical Center.
During that time, he also served as an associate professor of orthopedic surgery and chairman of orthopedics at the John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, formerly Cook County Hospital.
