Dr. Yuanyuan Tan, MD, is a dedicated and highly skilled neurologist at IU Health. Specializing in a broad range of neurological conditions, Dr. Tan offers expert treatment for headaches, epilepsy, cerebral vascular disease including stroke management, movement disorders, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis and neuromuscular disease.

A graduate of the Xiangya School of Medicine in China, Dr. Tan was drawn to the field of neurology early in her medical education. Intrigued by the complexity of neuroanatomy and the intricacies of the neurological system, she decided to dedicate her professional life to helping patients navigate and manage their neurological conditions. Following her passion, she completed her residency in Adult Neurology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, stepping into her medical practice in 2019.

Dr. Tan is a firm believer in a patient-centered approach to healthcare. She prides herself on providing compassionate, scientific, non-biased medical care. Her commitment to honesty and transparency fosters an environment where patients feel heard and understood. She views her relationship with each patient as a partnership, working together as a team to face their neurological challenges.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Tan has spent two years contributing to neuroscience research at the prestigious University of Michigan. This experience has further enriched her understanding of neurology and its application in patient care.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Tan has a passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Argentine Tango, demonstrating her dedication to both mental and physical agility.
