A boy's battle and a brother's bond
Will Flannery was the youngest of four boys. Some of his favorite activities included playing games, building legos, and solving puzzles with his 10-year-old brother, Evan. A few months ago, after a courageous battle with brain cancer, Will's family made the informed decision to bring him home from the hospital under the watchful care of IU Health's hospice team. "We're no longer treating anything," said Ashley Flannery, Will's mom. "We're grateful to his medical team and his nurses who now care for him at home... and we're just enjoying our time together."
