A Legacy of Care — Daughter joins mom as Methodist cardiac nurse

At IU Health Methodist Hospital, nursing runs deep for Karren Moore-Brewer and her daughter, Breyonna. Karren has worked as a nurse for close to four decades. Inspired by her mom’s compassion and strengthened by her own journey as a heart‑transplant patient, Breyonna found her calling at the bedside as well. "My nurses who took care of me when I was sick were very influential in my decision to become a nurse. I also feel blessed to have the mom I do. She has brushed off on me with her work ethic and how she treats people."
