Cancer patient uses oncology massage as tool to manage peripheral neuropathy

When urologic oncologist, Dr. Sean Kern was diagnosed with testicular cancer himself, he became concerned about a potential chemotherapy side effect called chemotherapy induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN). "As a surgeon I was very concerned about how CIPN could potentially impact my career," said Sean. "The first day I was here for my infusion Michelle Bailey's flyer for oncology massage was in the infusion treatment area and I looked at it and said, hey, let's do this. It couldn't hurt."
