Delivering on our vision: Home products reaches every county across Indiana

Across the state, Hoosiers can manage their health from the comfort of their home thanks to the care provided through IU Health’s home products service line offerings. At minimum, for the past three years, and including 2025, home products delivered at least one medically-necessary home product package to a patient in every county in Indiana.

“IU Health has physical office and hospital presence in 30+ Indiana counties, but our home products offerings span all 92 counties,” says Greg Kiray, MD, vice president, value based care and System Health Solutions chief medical officer. “We’re committed to fulfilling IU Health’s vision of making Indiana one of the nation’s healthiest states through our accessible, excellent care available at every doorstep.”

Home products has served 38,000+ patients, carries a 3,000+ product inventory and has more than tripled the amount of unique patients served in the last 10 years.

“Most people, and even providers, are unaware of the care that’s possible through home products,” says Kelly Rogers, home infusion pharmacy director. “For example, patients love having the option to have their pharmacy infusions at home, although some are a bit nervous about doing it at first. Our teams offer patients reassurance through the compassionate, personalized care they deliver.”

The home products service lines champion innovation and quality service to bring the best care designed with patients into their own home. Some examples include:

  • The all at-home Home Sleep Apnea Care test debuted in 2025, allowing the entire patient journey from testing through treatment to take place in the home.
  • The non-invasive ventilation (NIV) team has been able to reduce hospital readmissions for COPD patients by 82% in 2025.
  • Enteral nutrition has a 0.53% error rate for warehouse product distribution in 2025 – across the nation, the average error rate for an “excellent” warehouse distribution center is 2%.
  • In 2025, the PAP team achieved an 82% patient compliance rate, positioning IU Health 13% higher than the national benchmark.
  • Home products pursues new product opportunities and launched continuous glucose monitors (CGM) in April 2024.

From referral through delivery, home products patients trust their care team to meet them where they’re at now and in the future as they navigate their care journey.

“I have high praise for my infusion pharmacy team,” says Amy Blankenship, infusion pharmacy patient. “They are always very caring and courteous. I try to call my order in on Monday of the week I need a delivery, and if some reason I forget, they call me. They always make sure to schedule my delivery when I need it.”
