Nurse arranges hair cut for patient- They are more than their illness
IU Health Methodist Hospital
Jill Betts has been at Methodist Hospital for more than two months waiting on a heart transplant. "The staff here, they've been so amazing... they are helping me stay sane and they've become like family to me."
Last week Jill's nurse, Libby Collyer came in on her day off to treat Jill to a hair trim. "Nursing is not just about coming and passing meds," said Libby. "It's about seeing the patient as who they are and realizing they are more than their illness. They are more than what keeps them here."
