Nurse spotlight: Emma Deery

Emma Deery was a patient care assistant before becoming a nurse about 18 months ago. She works on Methodist hospital's surgical trauma critical care unit, caring for some of the sickest patients in the hospital. "I've had several people come back when they're leaving and just say thank you and they bring cookies and stuff and that makes me really happy. It's awesome to see them walk out in regular close when you weren't even sure they'd make it home at all."
