IU Health North team celebrates National Physical Therapy Month

October is National Physical Therapy Month, and the team at IU Health North provides comprehensive physical therapy and rehabilitation in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Katie Donovan is a physical therapist working in the inpatient setting and loves that part of her job is seeing patients become healthier.

“Once [the patient] is out of bed, their demeanor changes significantly. You can see it in just 20 minutes, and it is just immediate gratification,” she says.

Sami Cavanaugh, a physical therapist working in the outpatient setting, loves building relationships with her patients.

“I love that I get to see my patients come back for multiple visits and build great relationships with them. I also love the flexibility in the things that we can work on,” she says.
