Patient leaves Methodist Hospital with new heart, fresh outlook

Emilie Harmon spent months in the hospital waiting for a heart transplant. After courageously submitting herself to IU Health's highly-skilled transplant surgeons she fought through weeks of intense post-surgery rehab. "Day one of rehab it was just kind of like a train hit me, but now I have all this energy. I feel amazing. I'm all healed up with this new heart and I think it's a blessing that I get to live another day and experience life."
