Patient reunites with care team that saved her and her son's lives

Tammy Cunningham and her son, Calum reunited with the Methodist and Riley Hospital team members who, two years ago, saved both their lives.

In May, 2021 Tammy came down with a severe case of COVID-19 that required hospitalization and life support. Tammy was pregnant at the time and recalls being terrified about the fate of her unborn son. “I was scared to deliver early because I had no idea if he would make it, being a preemie,” Tammy recalls. “I’m so grateful for everyone who has helped Calum and I make it.”
