Program helps nursing students find best fit as they launch their career

Emily Jones is a new nurse in the emergency department at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. In nursing school, as she was looking for healthcare jobs to gain experience, she discovered a new program at IU Health Ball called Strengthening Our Aspiring RNs (SOAR). The program hires nursing students as patient care assistants and rotates them around different areas of the hospital to build skills and make a more informed decision about where they want to start their careers. "I think it's a great experience to see where you fit," said Emily. "I have recommended it to other nursing students because I think it's a really great resource."
